Hi, I’m Eric Pacenta—the one man shop behind Chester Works. Each bag is hand crafted in my basement workshop in Larchmont, New York, just a short train ride from NYC.
I’ve been sewing since I was a kid—thanks to my mom, who taught me early on. Over the years, I’ve tackled everything from school backpacks and baby carriers to ultra-durable bags for 100-mile runs. Each project has pushed me to rethink, tweak, and become a better craftsman.
As a graphic designer, I obsess over both form and function. Every stitch, material, and pocket is carefully considered and prototyped to create bags that look good, feel right, and work hard for you—whether you’re heading to the office, shuttling the kids around, or exploring the city.
If you’re looking for something truly unique, I also love taking on custom projects and commissions—from specialty bags, replicating cherished worn out pieces to designs tailored for your specific needs.
